I have been using Blue Buffalo for about 3 years for my diabetic dog and it has worked well. He is not well now though and now has a anul tumor. He won’t be with me much longer.
Don’t give up!! There are things you can do that don’t include chemo. Google for the blogs that discuss the type of cancer – mine has the worst kind – hemangiosarcoma – and they didn’t give much hope WITH chemo (12 weeks at Best after his splenectomy) so I chose a Holistic approach. We’re past the 12 week mark and though he has some rough days, with proper nutrition and some cancer fighting supplements, he’s doing better than could be expected. A few we’re using are Shiel4Pets, IP-6, Lactoferrin, Cordyceps, Korean Ginseng, Wei Qi Booster and Stasis Breaker (2 prescriptions), Yunnan Bayao (probably spelled that wrong), and I just found out from another human doctor to start him on another – Salvestrol Platinum – that he wished he’d known about earlier. When he gave that one to his dog who had the same type of tumor your dog has, his dog’s shrunk considerably and he’s sure if he’d found this sooner his dog would still be here. Good Luck!!
I see no problem with blue diamond dog food, my Boardercollie like it. Taff at 14 years still very active, I have used this dog food for 5 years.
My Vet put my dog on Blue Buffalo when she became pregnant because she had allergies. I had purposedly mated her before having her spayed. She remained on Blue Buffalo for 3yrs. until she all of a sudden has pancreatitus, which another Vet told me it was because of Blue Buffalo’s high fat content. She had to be put on ID Dog Food, which I can’t get her off of it. I almost lost her & I tell everyone I can to stay away from Blue Buffalo products.
I use to feed my Great Dane blue buffalo, large breed. She done well on it for awhile and then she started loosing weight and vomiting after she ate. I switched her food to Merrick and haven’t had any other issues.
